The Most Boring Holiday...EVER!! but a lil hidden joy...

This year's holiday is the worst ever!!! In fact...it sucks!! Tuition & extra classes till the end of December & revision for next year's exam. What am I? a robot? M-16 machine gun? Been skipping my blog for more than a month...pretty much like my sleep...I thought when school's off I would be able to get a little more sleep then usual but NO!! it's just the same as always...
Feeling ill for a while now since it's raining almost everyday...sometimes from daylight till night...Barely made it home from tuition when the rain starts to fall...Almost ran out of gas everyday from these daily routines. So...ah! right! Introducing a manga I found recently...[Nurarihyon no Mago]
from bottom: Rikuo, Tsurara, Gitsune and Rihyon
Found this a few days before holiday started. Quite nice...found this to be very interesting with all the youkai plot...especially the main protagonist Nura Rikuo. Rikuo has 2 personalities- one is his usual human personality Day Rikuo and another is his youkai personality Night Rikuo. Wanna know more? read it yourself!! The anime is out too...either one is nice but I like the manga better ^^
Left: Night Rikuo  Right: Day Rikuo

1Malaysia still far away...

Although the "1Malaysia" concept only popped out lately around last year, we Malaysian had been together since long before independence. I don't understand why our PM still needs to appeal on this matter. I've been living in my small home town with people from different walks of lives. It's never been difficult to communicate with other races. I've enjoyed living with them, it's seems like the boundary of races never existed between us.

Through my perception, I think that older people have better relationship with friends of different races. Try asking a Chinese and he will give a reply that "Oh, that's my best friend Raju!!" and vice versa for other races too. But younger generations nowadays have a different view of being together with different races. Discrimination has appeared to be stronger compared to older generations. It's not that all the younger generations are discriminative...it's just that most of them didn't bother to mix with other races anymore...

This was shown when I went out shopping with a bunch of Malay friends in a shopping complex. Out of 11 people, I'm the only Chinese. I never felt out of place when I'm with them. I enjoyed being with them more than being with Chinese. But then, some people (Chinese, Malay or Indian) walking beside us whispered "hey, look at that Chinese girl...she's going out with a bunch of Malays...what is she thinking?" and most of them were teenagers. I really want to yell at them "OH, PLEASE!! This is Malaysia for god's sake!! Who bothers to only walk with people with same skin colour?"

Older generations are different...most of them didn't mind talking to people of different races. I can talk to a "Mak Cik" beside me in the bus till I reach home although I've never met her before. But when I look at other people, they don't even bother to talk or look at the person beside them. Some even ignore the person. I found that disappointing, annoying and irritating. It's not a good attitude to ignore people when they say something. (Ok, ignore if they're down right weird!) At least listen to them 1st and give simple answers like "Yes","No","I'm not sure" or "I don't know". That's the way to go. Just hope tat Malaysians can mix with each other just like in the olden days.

Happy 53rd Merdeka!!

Today is the 53rd year we Malaysians celebrate our independence day. What does Merdeka means to you? Our 1st Prime Minister had been through lots of problems and troubles to achieve independence without shedding a drop of blood. We as Malaysians, living peacefully without war is a bless. We must show our patriotism and love our country with all our hearts. No one should take Merdeka lightly. It represent our independence day. The day Tunku Abdul Rahman shouted "Merdeka!!" 7 times.

Do you love ur country? If so, show some love to it ^^

Final Results

Every match is amazing...filled with excitement but it has to come to an end. The final starts with Mixed Doubles. (Zheng Bo-Ma Jin[8th seed]) dominated over (He Hanbin-Yu Yang[6th seed]) with a score of 21-14, 21-10. Men Single ends with (Taufik Hidayat[5th seed]) losing 21-13, 21-15 to (Chen Jin[4th seed]). Women Single didn't end as easily as Men Single as (Wang Xin[3rd seed]) put up a good fight before going down 21-11, 19-21, 13-21 to (Wang Lin[7th seed]). Women's Doubles (Du Jing-Yu Yang[2nd seed]) won over (Ma Jin- Wang Xiaoli[1st seed]) by 21-9, 21-17. Men's Doubles was made the finale/closing game as (Koo Kien Kiat-Tan Boon Heong[1st seed]) lost 21-18, 21-18, 14-21 to (Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng[5th seed]). China dominated all 5 events...This year's men single outcome was unexpected. Taufik was so close to win the championship again after he won it in 2005.

Badminton World Championship 2010 Fever!!!

Started on 23/8/2010...Every match is worth watching. As soon as the 1st match started I won't leave my seat till all matches were finished for the day. The time at my country when the event start is between 6pm/7pm-2am. I root and shout for hours and hours long as if I was there. That's how much I love badminton since I was small. There're some unexpected turnover like lower/unseeded players beating top seeded ones...

The one that I salute the most in this championship is (Women Single-Chinese Taipei-Cheng Shao-Chieh[unseeded]) her fighting spirit is so strong that although with leg injury she still won't give up. 2nd game with Bae Seung Hee[14th seed] 21-14, 21-23, 21-16 then meeting up with Juliane Schenk[8th seed] 19-21, 21-13, 21-19 and that's when her leg which didn't fully recovered during the match with Bae in Chinese Taipei Open final started to kick in. She fought with Tine Baun[4th seed] 18-21, 13-21 until both feet bleed at the toes...there's blood on both side of her feet, stocking soaked with blood and I can't bear to watch her painful expression although she fought till the end. I think she deserves more applause than Tine.

Next big upset is the exit of (Men Single-Malaysia-Lee Chong Wei [1st seed]) 15-21, 21-11, 12-21 to Taufik Hidayat[5th seed] of Indonesia and (Men Single-China-Lin Dan [3rd seed]) crashed out 13-21, 13-21 to Park Sung Hwan[13th seed] of Korea. Lee & Lin Dan are expected to meet at the final but didn't managed to do so. Peter Gade[2nd seed] lost 21-19, 8-21, 11-21 to Chen Jin[4th seed] of China. Chances are now open to Taufik & Chen Jin to win the championship.

(Men's Doubles-Malaysia-Koo Kien Kiat-Tan Boon Heong[1st seed]) are going strong after beating their most unlikely to win pair (Lee Yong Dae-Jung Jae Sung[7th seed]) of Korea with a hard fought 23-25, 21-13, 21-14. They met 10 times including this match and only won twice over the Korean pair. Beating (Guo Zhendong-Xu Chen[4th seed])of China 21-14, 21-18 they march into the final to meet (Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng[5th seed]) of China after Cai-Fu beat Olympic Champion (Markis Kido-Hendra Setiawan[2nd seed]) of Indonesia 21-16, 21-13.

Women's Doubles will be an all-China affair as (Ma Jin-Wang Xiaoli[1st seed]) beats compatriot (Cheng Shu-Zhao Yunlei[4th seed]) 10-21, 21-10, 21-13 will take on (Du Jing-Yu Yang[2nd seed]) beating (Cheng Wen Hsing-Chien Yu Chin[3rd seed]) of Chinese Taipei 21-16, 21-15

Mixed Doubles too is an all-China affair as (Zheng Bo-Ma Jin[8th seed]) beats (Ko Sung Hyun-Ha Jung Eun) of Korea 15-21, 21-11, 21-16 meets (He Hanbin-Yu Yang[6th seed]) beating (Lee Sheng Mu-Chien Yu Chin[16th seed]) of Chinese Taipei 21-13, 21-8. Both Ma Jin and Yu Yang play for Women's Double and Mixed Doubles. Even with two sides to play they still storm all the way to the final. Having 2 partners at the same time requires them to adjust their strategies and match their partners pace. Such good adaptation is world class.

Women Single too ended up with an all-China affair as Wang Lin[7th seed]) beats Tine Baun[4th seed] in an astonishing 21-11, 21-8 while Wang Xin[3rd seed] beats compatriot Wang Shixian[6th seed] in rubber set 21-19, 11-21, 21-16.

Kudos to all the players!!! I can hardly wait to watch all the matches today!! Are you ready!? LET'S GO!! ^o^

Unpredictable weather...

It's been a few years now tat all the seasons went crazy...winter arrives sooner than expected and summer is blazing hot, hotter than last year. Although my country (Malaysia) is at the Equator which feels like summer the whole year long, the weather is unpredictable. You can have a nice bright, windy day then suddenly came rain clouds and thunderstorms...The whole sky turned dark in just minutes!!! I have to bring umbrella everyday cos we can't predict the weather even though I had watched the weather forecast the day before.

It's so to say that the rainy season on west coast is from Sept-Dec while Oct-Feb on east coast. But floods are happening everywhere in Malaysia. Maximum downpour is in between Nov-Feb but look at it now...monsoon season is arriving earlier & more serious than before. Floods are happening all over the world like in China or Pakistan while other countries experience annual wildfires such as California or Australia. Human activities caused these and people are still unclear of the situation they're in.

Is your country under threat with these incidents?

Tabasco suffered heavy flood, this 1 is in 2007 >>>

Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover

It's a big mistake to judge someone according to their appearance. I had bumped into this kind of incident and it made me realize that this is the reality. How many good looking men or women can you determine their attitude are as their appearance?? I met lots of good looking people with cool outfits but won't even give a seat to an elderly in a crowded bus...what's there to compliment about their appearance when it didn't reflect their attitude?

I never thought being selfish in a crowded area is a good thing. Other people might look at you but you didn't notice. Attitude comes before appearance and it pays to be kind to other people especially to elderly. We received their blessing although they didn't say it out to us. Is it that hard to show a little kindness to other people?? It's a shame people nowadays seldom offer a seat or give way for elderly in bus or in line...

Take A Look At Ur Life...

Sometimes...we missed out the most important thing in our life but we just didn't realize how much we had left it behind. Did you look at yourself in the mirror one day and ask "how much I had changed in these few years?""What did I do to my family, friends and to myself?" We never seem to notice the changes around us maybe because it didn't affect us but that doesn't mean it won't affect the people around us...So,why don't you take a minute in your life and look at the mirror...look into yourself and not your appearance...recollect what you had done for the past few years and you'll find tat you missed out something...something you're supposed to do but didn't bother to do it...

Time waits for no man. When it passes through you..it won't come back. Appreciate your loved ones, your life and don't throw it away on pointless things. It's time to prove tat you're not left out in your own time flow. If this goes on unchanged...you'll be "the forgotten" in your own life...Love yourself, family and friends. "Time is life 時間が人生だ"

Music is not mere entertainment...

Music...being everywhere in the world is just fascinating. It's made out of beats of music instruments & human voices...nothing more. Music has the power to heal hearts and even in the process of our recuperation. It showed just how powerful the effect of music is to us. Imagine being in a world without music.I bet we can go crazy in a matter of mins.

Whether we're sad or happy, music comes to our mind just on cue. I've loved music for my whole life...really can't live without it. It's just like having my soul taken away from my body if I lose music. What bout you? Do you feel the same too?
